Each custom bird house is assembled using western cedar, premium exterior water proof adhesive, zinc coated screws and then sanded by hand to provide a quality finish.

All hand crafted bird houses are sealed on exterior surfaces with a premium UV protective water proof sealant or left untreated on request. Each bird house has an easy opening panel for seasonal cleaning and can be fitted with mounting hardware for posts. poles or trees. Different features can be added by request including:
- predator guard for entrances
- nestling ladder (interior, exterior or both)
- nestling guard (see images in slide show above)
- over sized roofs (added protection against the elements)
- wood shavings (prevent egg breakage, included with owl houses)
Predator guards provide added protection against other birds, snakes or squirrels that may try to invade the bird house. Nestling ladders aid young birds to enter and exit the house. Nestling guards help to catch young birds still learning to fly and help to keep them from hitting the ground. I have not seen these on other bird houses but they have been requested by several customers. A unique addition!
